State of Origin Water Taste Test Won by MidCoast Water

In early April, MidCoast Water was the winner of the inaugural NSW Orica Taste Test at the WIOA Conference held in Canberra. As NSW winners, MidCoast Water recently squared off against Queensland's winners, Ayr, Burdekin Shire, in a State of Origin clash for the best tasting water.
Water from both utilities was tasted by delegates at the WIOA Queensland Conference held last week on the Gold Coast. The results of the blind taste test were close, with MidCoast Water winning by 7 votes. Congratulations to MidCoast Water on this great achievement.
MidCoast Water will have the chance to defend their NSW title at the next WIOA Conference to be held in Orange. We challenge all local water utilities to compete in the 2014 Orica Taste Test to find out which utility has the best tasting water in NSW. Winners will once again enter a State of Origin clash with Queensland.
