Alternative Water Utilities (WICA)
Private water utilities in NSW are licensed by IPART under the Water Industry Competition Act (WICA).

Australasian Society for Trenchless Technology
The ASTT provides a forum in Australia and New Zealand for the interchange of knowledge and skills in the field of Trenchless (also known as no-dig) Technology. The ASTT also encourages the interchange of specialist knowledge and practices within the field of Trenchless Technology; and encourages education, training and research within the field.

Australian National Committee on Large Dams
The Australian National Committee on Large Dams Inc. (ANCOLD) is a non-government, non-profit and voluntary association of organisations and individual professionals with a common technical interest in dams. ANCOLD currently has 54 member organisations covering all aspects of the dams industry, and 195 individual associate members.

Australian Water Association
The Australian Water Association is a professional membership organisation formed in 1962 to promote the responsible management of water and its related resources. The AWA distributes a weekly news service updating a range of issues in the water industry and hosts a wide range of industry specific events including Ozwater.

Department of Planning, Industry and Environment
DPIE's Water Division is responsible for the management of the State's surface water and groundwater resources and reports to the NSW Government for water policy and the administration of key water management legislation, including the Water Management Act 2000, Water Act 1912, and the Hawkesbury-Nepean River Act 2009.

Institute of Public Works Engineering Australia
The Institute of Public Works Engineering Australia (IPWEA) is a professional organisation providing member services and advocacy for those involved in and delivering public works and engineering services to the community.

International Centre of Excellence in Water Resources Management
The International Centre of Excellence in Water Resources Management (ICE WaRM) provides a national focus and international gateway to Australia's education, training and research expertise in water. Operating as WaterEd Australia and based in Adelaide, the Centre was established in 2004 as an Australian Government initiative, with the support of the South Australian Government.

Local Government NSW
LGNSW represents 152 general purpose councils as well as about 13 special purpose councils. LGNSW has an active and important role to play in the management of water in NSW. Two representatives of LGNSW are on the Water Directorate’s Executive Committee in an advisory capacity. LGNSW and the Water Directorate work closely together to lobby the NSW Government on a range of water issues.

Manly Hydraulics Laboratory
MHL provides specialist and impartial advice relating to coastal and water engineering and water flow assurance, utilising physical and numerical modelling, NATA accredited facilities and extensive data collection programs in water, sewer, stormwater, irrigation, coastal, riverine and environmental systems. MHL is a business unit within the Water Division of the Department of Planning, Industry and Environment (DPIE).

Smart Approved WaterMark
Smart Approved WaterMark is Australia's water saving labelling program for products and services which are helping to reduce outdoor water use. Set up by AWA, WSAA, IAL and NGIA the scheme is supported by the Australian Government's Water Smart Australia programme.

WaterAid
WaterAid Australia was created in 2004.  It is part of the international governmental organisation dedicated exclusively to the provision of safe domestic water, sanitation and hygiene education to the world's poorest people.

Water Industry Operators Association
The Water Industry Operators Association is a membership organisation open to any persons carrying out the whole, or part operation and maintenance of any facet of the water industry. It has strong networks in NSW, Queensland and Victoria with regular newsletters, conferences and trade shows.

Water Research Australia Limited
WaterRA is a not-for-profit company, established and supported by members, to initiate and manage collaborative research of national application on all aspects of drinking water, recycled water and wastewater. We bring together key water research and industry stakeholders to identify and define issues and conduct targeted, priority research. WaterRA is in a unique position to rapidly address current and emerging problems for our industry.

Water Services Association of Australia
WSAA is the industry body that supports the Australian Urban Water Industry. Its members and associate members provide water and wastewater services to approximately 16 million Australians and many of Australia's largest industrial and commercial enterprises. The Association facilitates collaboration, knowledge sharing, networking and cooperation within the urban water industry.

Water Training and Assessment Network
The NSW Water Training and Assessment Network (WTAN) has been established to increase the capacity of the water industry to provide high quality training and assessment for its workforce. With funding provided by the NSW Department of Education and Communities and the water industry, the network is targeted to trainers and assessors working in or with the water industry and to managers and staff from water utilities and councils responsible for developing the skills of their employees.
