Revised Business Continuity Management Guidelines Released

The Water Directorate is very pleased to have revised and republished the Business Continuity Management Guidelines.
A copy was recently sent to the General Managers of member councils
and we recommended it was passed on to the technical staff for their
consideration.
The Business Continuity Management Guidelines, initially written by MC2 Pacific in 2008, has recently been rewritten to include updated Australian Standards, in particular AS/NZS 3100:2009 Risk Management - Principles and Guidelines (replacing AS/NZS 4360) and the publication of AS/NZS 5050: 2010 Business continuity—Managing disruption-related risk.
It is intended that these
Guidelines will provide templates for LWUs to modify to suit their local
installations and conditions. The template plans cover three areas:
risk management, emergency and crisis management and business continuity
management.
