Register Today to Walk4Water

13 Mar 2015
10,000 steps is the average distance people walk every day for water in the developing world. Lack of safe water close to people's homes affects their time, livelihood and quality of life.

In the developing world women walk long distances to collect water and they are deprived of time to earn a living. When children walk for many hours to collect dirty water they are often at risk of disease and then unable to attend school. When the elderly and those living with a disability have no safe water close to home they often go without.

WaterAid's Walk 4 Water is being held in March to coincide with World Water Day on Sunday 22 March. It's not too late to register for Walk 4 Water and walk 10,000 steps every day for five days.

Experience walking this distance
every day and get your friends and family to sponsor you and help others have clean, safe water.
