Push for privatisation of water supply

Infrastructure Australia has published a report ‘Reforming Urban Water – a national pathway for change’ advocating the formation of an independent national body to deliver a national water reform plan and ultimately moving to “move assets to private ownership”.

The Water Directorate is formulating a response to this paper and will make strong representation to government on behalf of Local Water Utilities.
