OzWater Feedback from Tracey Hamer

Each year the Water Directorate and AWA proudly sponsor the Conference Attendance Award for young water industry professionals. This year, Tracey Hamer, Planning Engineer, MidCoast Water, won the Award and attended OzWater'13 in Perth 7-9 May 2013. Read a copy of Tracey's summary report here.

This is the eleventh year the Executive Committee has offered this award and funding, to assist a worthy engineer with up to 7 years experience from a member Council water business, to attend AWA's national water conference.The Water Directorate provided $1,600 towards the cost of travel and accommodation and AWA generously donated a full conference registration also valued at approx $1,600. 

Tracey attended the full three day program including the YWP Breakfast and Gala Dinner. She also attended the site tour to the WA Water Corp groundwater replenishment trial.  Tracey was presented with an Award Certificate by Wayne Franklin, Technical Services Director, Rous Water and a member of the Water Directorate's Executive Committee.

Tracey stated that the information gained from her attendance at OzWater'13 'will be beneficial to MidCoast Water as we will be able to use it to increase our own efficiency in practical ways.' Congratulations again to Tracey for winning this award.
