Online Water Forum on water solutions in regional NSW

17 Jun 2020

The Water Directorate is proud to sponsor LGNSW’s online Water Forum coming up on 16 July. The Water Forum will put the spotlight on the vital role of regional solutions and investment in water utility resilience for NSW communities - particularly given the severe challenges of bushfires, droughts and contaminations in the last 18 months.

The Hon. Melinda Pavey MP, Minister for Water, Property and Housing, will discuss government strategy to achieve a sustainable water supply. Also presenting will be Dr Jim Bentley, Chief Executive Officer Water, DPIE, and Professor Stuart Khan, School of Civil & Environmental Engineering, UNSW.

These expert speakers will share their perspectives on future investment in water sustainability, (both water supply and demand) and what this means for local government. A Q&A session will give you the opportunity to ask questions.

The Forum will be held as an addition to the usual LGNSW Water Management Conference that has been postponed until 6-8 October 2020, in Narrabri.

Forum registrations are now open at a cost of $66.00 per person including GST.  Delegates who purchase tickets to both the online forum and the usual conference Narrabri in October will receive a discount of $44 including GST off their conference ticket.

LGNSW states: in switching all our events online, we have incurred licencing fees and other costs to ensure we have a secure and smooth experience for presenters and guests. Any income above cost recovery will be used to subsidise the many free events we hold for members.
