Nominate your LWU for an Excellence in the Environment Award

Do you have an environmental achievement that deserves recognition?

The annual LGNSW Excellence in the Environment Awards are designed to celebrate outstanding projects undertaken by local councils in managing and protecting the environment across 16 categories.

The Water Directorate sponsors a Water Management Award that recognises excellence in practical solutions for sustainable water management.

Projects that save water, improve efficiency and/or water quality, or enhance environmental outcomes are all eligible to apply. The projects need to have been undertaken between January 2018 and June 2019.

Last year Ballina Shire Council was one of two finalists for their Smart Metering Project.

Online nominations are open until 5pm on 29 July.
