NSW Operator of the Year Nominations Now Open

Nominations for the NSW Operator of the Year Award are now open. The Water Directorate sponsors this award each year to reward excellent performance, initiative and all round attention to detail by an operator of water or wastewater treatment facilities.

The winner of the NSW Operator of the Year will join the WIOA conference tour of New Zealand as a delegate. The trip includes a study tour of various water and wastewater treatment plants as well as attending the WIOG NZ conference. The prize includes air fares and accommodation arranged by WIOA. The award winner will also receive a perpetual trophy for their Council to be kept for 12 months plus a smaller trophy to be kept by the individual.

The presentation of the NSW Operator of the Year Award will be made at the 9th Annual NSW Water Industry Operations Conference and Exhibition. This leading industry event is being held in Orange on 25-26 March 2015.

The nomination form should be returned to Gary Mitchell by COB Friday 20 February 2015. We encourage all member councils to consider nominating one of your operators for this prestigious award.

Please use the online nomination form provided and adhere to the word limit for each section. Previous nominees are also welcome to renominate.
