IT’S NATIONAL WATER WEEK 21–27 October
24 Oct 2018
Every third week of October, National Water Week makes a splash across Australia, inspiring individuals, communities and organisations to work together to build awareness around the value of water.
It’s an opportunity for us in the water industry to publicise some aspect of our service through council or local media – such as recent upgrades, water saving initiatives, local challenges we face, or simple statistics such as the number of households we supply, or litres of water we treat per year for consumption by the community.
This year's National Water Week theme 'Water for me, Water for all’ encourages all of us to think about how we use water on a day-to-day basis and how we can protect it so we have it in the future.
Access to clean water is critically important to every aspect of our lives, and local communities must strive to protect water environments and resources, and use water wisely.
