Today the Water Directorate released our latest publication, Guidelines for Trenchless Installation, Replacement or Rehabilitation of Pipelines.
A hard copy and CD Rom has been sent to the the General Manager of all member councils.
The use of trenchless techniques for the installation of new pipes and the repair of existing pipe assets has developed over the last 30 years such that it is often the preferred technology for providing new pipe assets or rehabilitating existing pipe assets.
The objective of our latest document is therefore to assist LWUs in the assessment and selection of suitable trenchless technologies for the installation and repair of underground pipe assets.
