Free conference attendance for young water professional

Do you know a young water professional who would benefit from sponsorship to attend a major national water conference?

Each year the Water Directorate and the Australian Water Association co-sponsor the Ozwater Conference Award that enables a young water professional with less than 7 years’ experience in the water industry to attend the Ozwater Conference.

The Ozwater’19 conference will be held in Melbourne on 7-9 May and will feature inspirational international and national keynote speakers, scientific and technical papers, case studies, workshops and poster sessions.

To be eligible, the nominee must be working for a Water Directorate member council’s water and sewer team. The Water Directorate’s sponsorship covers accommodation and travel to the tune of $2,275. In addition, AWA provides free registration for the conference and covers the cost of attending the Young Water Professionals Workshop and Breakfast.

This could be a life-changing experience for an up-and-coming water professional – don’t delay, as the closing date for applications is Monday 15 April 2019.
