Dial Before You Dig (DBYD) is a non-profit referral service representing most of Australia’s underground asset owners. DBYD provides information on the location of underground services and runs a number of presentations to Councils, government bodies and the civil and construction industry. DBYD offer free, 45 minute, DBYD presentations in NSW/ACT for anyone associated with building, associated with work near buried pipe and cable networks.
DBTD also offer optional 75 minute Network Awareness Presentations for a fee and includes the following topics:
- How to avoid damage to underground pipes and cables and recent examples of damages.
- Asset Relocation process
- Plant location process
- Type of paper work required for site
- Emergency numbers and procedures
- Your legal obligations when working near underground network.
- How to identify pipes and cables.
- How you can protect your business.
- NSW gas and electricity new laws
