Bringing you up to date with the latest regulations on work health and safety

The Water Directorate’s Work Health and Safety Management Guidelines have been revised to incorporate changes to laws and regulations governing work health and safety. Since the Guidelines were originally produced in 2015, the WHS Act 2011 has been replaced with the WHS Amendment Act No 12 2018 and the WHS regulations were also revised in 2017.

The overall aim of the Guidelines is to support the highest level of WHS performance through systematic elimination of workplace risks. This is designed to lead to a reduction in workplace illness and injury, thus minimising the human and other costs associated with workplace accidents.

Copies of the Guidelines were sent to General Managers in April, and Water Directorate members may download PDF and Word versions of the publication from the Members Area of the Water Directorate website.

Non-members may purchase the Guidelines from the Water Directorate online bookshop.
