All you need to know about Water Supply Service Reservoirs

Check out the Water Directorate’s updated O&M Manual on Water Supply Service Reservoirs, now available free to member Local Water Utilities via Members Area of the website, or for purchase from the online bookshop.

A new section looks at how to manage policy and operational matters arising from the installation of third party telecommunications and communications installations on reservoirs – including LWU rights and responsibilities in relation to access, health and safety, and drinking water quality.

There are Work Method Statements that can be adapted to your own requirements, along with examples of confined spaces policy and procedures, safety lockout and danger tags, environmental management systems, plus hazard identification and risk management.

The Manual was first produced in 2003 and is now up-to-date with subsequent legal and regulatory changes.
