All you need to know about Chlorination

An updated version of the Water Directorate’s Chlorination Installations manual has been delivered to all member councils.

This replaces the 2003 edition of the manual. Explore the pros and cons of gas chlorination and sodium hypochlorite systems, find out how these systems operate and how to superchlorinate and dechlorinate pipelines.

Useful appendices contain Sydney Water’s dechlorination procedures and two councils’ standard operating procedures for disinfecting water mains.
